What will you do in DECA?

  • Business Competitions
  • Field Trips
  • Community Service
  • Have Fun

New Jersey DECA’s Northern Regional Conference was held this past Monday, January 7th at Ramapo College. Twenty-nine (29) of our BTMF students were among the 3,000+ in attendance. Students are enrolled to compete within 1 of 30 business-themed events. Winners are chosen based on their performance on a 100-question online test, and by role-playing the solution to a business problem in front of a judge.

It gives me great pleasure to share that 4 of our students were among the select few who qualified for advancement to the statewide conference in Atlantic City via a Role-Play Event competition! In the Principles of Finance Event: Enequenil Fortunado, Shuhrat Kabir, and Nataly Merino all qualified. In the Professional Selling Event, Enyeli Galvez shined as well. More of our students may still compete at the state conference by completing a research project within a Written Event category.

If you recognize any of the students mentioned above, please congratulate them for this accomplishment. As a school, we want our students to know that we value all of the positive things they do above and beyond normal expectation.
